Caring is in our nature. Making us who we are. It´s a commitment that permeates generations and guides our actions and projects. Caring for others has been at our core from the beginning. BONFIO’s main goals are philanthropy and social responsibility with the principle objectives. To generate positive economic, environmental and social impacts, we work carefully, protecting the future, through sustainable business and initiatives.
With more than 80 years of history, we have already helped and contributed to several projects in our communities, influencing the creation of one favorable environment and human development. A history was remarkable by philanthropy and passion for making a difference. Among them:
As soon as the battle against Covid-19 in Brazil began, the Institution sought a company for an emergency partnership. In this way, we were able to fight against Coronavirus by contributing with a material donations such as threads to produce masks. The goal was to assist patients in the public hospitals in São Paulo region during the pandemic.
Alliance with Hospital do Coração
Bonduki family has also collaborated with the Hospital do Coração since the Institution’s Foundation, since it is one of those responsible for the construction of the Hospital, being active in the Council until today. Better known as HCor is a reference in Pediatric Cardiology in the city of São Paulo and, among other specialties, also provides services in Neurology, Oncology, Pulmonology, and Orthopedics. Between 2013 and 2015, BONFIO contributed with the provision of threads to repair and maintenance of uniforms in general.
Supporter of Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial (SENAI)
To contribute to the training and qualification of textile professionals in Americana, 8 years ago BONFIO became a partner in the courses offered by SENAI through the provision of threads. The entity belongs to FIESP (Federação das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo), responsible for the service provision of health, safety and education aimed to improve people’s lives.
Collaboration with Associação Beneficente de Senhoras – HCOR
Idealized by a group of women from the Arab community, the Association dedicated its early years to helping orphans children from the First World War. In 1947, started the treatment of thoracic sick and, in 1976, generates HCOR. With counselors who also work at the Hospital, BONFIO participates in fundraising campaigns through logistical and financial support, helping families of children who cannot afford the costs of the treatment.
Collaborations and donations to Lar Sírio Pró-Infância
In 1923, a group of young idealists came from Syria, and founded Orphanato Syrio, not only because of the necessity to give shelter to their community but mainly, because of the desire to do some project in retribution for the country that accommodated them and where they could work and form their families. For 99 years, the place implemented projects to confront social inequalities and protect children and adolescents, providing children with a cozy place to spend the day. The Bonduki family is proud to have worked in the home during the 50's and 60's, contributing to the education of several children and young people with the implementation of SESI school. BONFIO has also collaborated on several occasions through financial assistance. In addition, our founder served as President of the entity.
Collaborations and donations to Hospital Sírio Libanês
Women from the Syrian-lebanese community in Brazil reunited at Adma Jafet’s house and idealized the foundation of a philanthropic hospital to contribute to the country´s health. Thus, in 1921, the Ladies Benefit Society was born. In a century of history, Hospital Sírio-Libanês has consolidated its pioneering spirit, excellence, and humanized care, becoming an international reference in health. The Bonduki family is proud to be part of this trajectory since the hospital’s construction and expansion campaigns, mainly in 60’s and 70’s. Until today, the members are part of the Institution’s Council and keep going in charitable actions.
Collaboration and Donation to Associação Beneficente "A Mão Branca" de Amparo aos Idosos
“A Mão Branca” is an ILPI founded in 1912 by a group of women of from the Syrian-Lebanese community of São Paulo. Serving the elderly for 109 years, “A Mão Branca” has become a reference in the field of Geriatrics and Gerontology. The entity’s commitment is to assist the eldery in an internship regime without any discrimination, promoting humanized and comprehensive care for them, and providing quality of life and healthy aging. Over the years, BONFIO has always supported the entity’s actions by donating material for the production of handicrafts commercialized in bazaars and fairs in favor of the Institution, especially in the 80’s and 90’s.
Throughout its history, BONFIO has always supported, in different manners, the actions of partners and customers who share the same vision of the company. Among them, is the Corpus Christi Procession, which takes place annually in Ibitinga-SP, raising funds for the maintenance of assistance entities.
We believe that through all these actions, we can fulfill our social role and give back to people and communities as part of our Mission, contributing to the success of other people and organizations, when requested. In special, in the regions of Americana and São Paulo/SP.
